A View From The Hills
Not the Scottish Hills, the Texan Hills! A family of three (so far) currently residing in Columbia, Maryland. The matriarch of the clan, Kathryn, has started her own mommy blog wherein she will dish on the ins and outs and ups and downs of being a mother, wife, and all-around class act while shunning velour sweat suits and Barney and Friends. This lady is so funny IRL that I can’t wait for the rest of the interwebz to get a load of her personal philosophies on Barney, chicken fingers (AKA kiddie crack), and the sure-to-be humorous remodeling of their kitchen.
I met Kathryn and Stuart Hill during my senior year of high school through my best friend Erin, who met them through her church. In addition to being quite possibly the loveliest people ever, they really helped to change my perspective of the Christian faith, since I had really only (partly by choice) been exposed to the bigotry and exclusivity (in the most literal definition of the word) of the Roman Catholic Church. They were so quick to welcome me into their home and make me a quesadilla – the Texan version of “Can I make you a sandwich?”. And who but the loveliest people can beget such a lovely boy as this?!
That’s Blake Warren Hill. He’ll be one-year-old in October. He’s very advanced. So check out the life of the woman who spawned that little pile of cuteness at A View From The Hills. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride!
Oh my god I love him. And as much as I freak out any time my period is so much as 3 minutes late, you know I can’t wait to be a mommy. I can tell I’ll be adding this to my blogroll asap…
SAM! You flatter me. Go on. Seriously. I love it, go on.
I will be addressing kiddie crack very soon in my blog, it’s info every mother should know. Thanks for being my e-inspiration.
